Fractal Perspective

For every concept their can be many perspectives, and many forms of judgment on those perspectives. It is a core aspect of Hitchhiker Guides that they are formally and technically structured to present these perspectives to the reader, and empower an author to contribute their own perspective.

This functionality is built into how federated wiki works, but the complexity of the taks outweighs the ability of the interface to deliver for most users. We consider it to be a power users interface, and our aim with the Guide is to create a better visual and interactive experience for both the reader and the author - indeed we expect to facilitate the creation of multiple such interfces depending on the need.

# The Fractal Carousel

I've done quite a bit of design work, on how to represent perspective. Unfortunatley I lost a great deal of the documentation with the Lost Archive. I'll briefly describe the outcome here, while looking to dig deeper into the historical fragements for more inspiration.

Teh Fractal Carousel is a 3d rendering of an evolving entity, which used a number of different poyhedra to simplify the Perspectival Hypergraph. The emphaiss was on renderings that were simple to navigate and could be rendered in both 2D and 3D. Another consideration was making sure combinations of evovling entities would graph well - for instance with constrained Markov graphing of wiki links.
